Page 51 uploaded and extra

Usual stuff is up. We got some more music on the way (character themes) the remaking of the first chapter is coming along with a few pages done so far. As for the wallpaper it will be up within the week. Moving on let's do a recap on the artstyle and how it has changed so quickly within 3 months of the site being up.



As you can see we began with an anti-aliased style to sort of vaguely reference a sort of video game pixelly aesthetic and to also give us an unique look to other comics. I did about 20 pages of this and then we uploaded it to recieve feedback. The result wasn't really positive so I decided to shift into another style, plus it was looking a bit too similair to Vickybit's Side-Quest Story and we didn't want the wrong thoughts to arise from that. So at the 26th page mark, I went for an aliased pen from a vector pencil, got rid of the half tones and replaced them with a layered grayscale for smoothing and in the next couples of pages you can see the Backgrounds losing their line-art and softening into minimalistic shapes. Lazy? perhaps, But the overall feel is more focused and has a better degree of clarity. Then after I did the first flash animation I felt the need to continue improving. I now implement a Marker tool to sometimes give a more seamless grayscale and the Airbrush tool to give off glow and darkening to various lightings. If you wondering why the comic isn't in colour, It's because this is deliberate for a narrative ploy. Stay tuned to see where i'll be going with that. The new page is up. Nothing really new to report except a big thank you for the over 83,000 hits. Thank you everyone! As for the voting thing the current favourite character is Addi at the moment with Sama following behind then Lucy and Cinnamon at a tie at 3rd... No love for Wills or Crane for now. Don't forget you got until Sunday to vote then the new wallpaper will be up for the update.

Page 49 uploaded

Hey all page 49 is up, we're working on remaking the first chapter (page 1 to 26). There's a poll up on the main page based on the most popular character, whoever wins will have a new wallpaper based on them, so vote away. There is a new wallpaper in the download section as well. Finally, earlier today whilst browsing /co/ there was a section for recommended web comics to read and we got a few vote's so we are now a part of /co/ recommended list. Thanks guys!

Laptop situation

About the situation regarding my laptop, it is now fixed but with a penalty. The hard drive had crashed causing the system recovery, but luckily a friend of mine fixed it for me and installed windows 7 on it as well. The problem is the hard drive was completely wiped so I'll have to start over again with a fresh new OS on the laptop. Luckily it isn't hard to get the whole site from the server after I get filezila to download it all again.

Page 47 and 48 uploaded

Hey guys sorry for the delayed update, Sam's laptop is on the frits which resulted in no update on Sunday (all the site is stored on her laptop). The laptop hasn't been fixed yet, we are both working from my computer for now (makes sense really). Anyway here's page 47 and page 48. For the next update we'll be adding a character poll to see who's the favourite character so far, the poll will probably last for a week with the winning results having wallpaper's made of them for the download section.
As for the site I'm looking at adding changeable themes so you don't have to look at the same one over and over again. I'll probably base it on the different character's so far.

New updates

There have been a few new updates to the site such as three new pages to the comic, new character bio's added to the about section and also a new image in the gallery. With regards to page 45 for Chrome user's I've taken the Facebook Like button off (This caused the rectangled box across the flash animation) and that's it really for the updates. As for other news about the site, we are now affiliated with Blaster Nation, go check them out.
As for the animation update, there will be more in the future but don't expect them at the end of chapter's.

Page 45 is up (concluding chapter 2), this page requires you to have flashplayer installed and make sure you're sound is on. The updates will continue as usual on Wednesday, so for now please enjoy the new update as Koma is now more then likely in a coma. We'll also be featuring a sondtrack for ripchord in the near future.

No updates this week

Hey guys just a quick post to keep you all up to date on what's been happening. As mentioned before there is going to be an animation for the next update, Connor has currently got a week off work so he's been working on it vigorously. However last night it was nearly lost as Connor's computer just suddenly wouldn't work for him, luckily William was there to save the day (Ram was lose in the tower) and so his computer is up and running again. Hopefully the update will be up by Wednesday.
